REPs Test Centre

Global Fitness Education, along with REPs, the Register of Exercise Professionals, has identified the need to provide a formal route for applicants from outside of the UK or from Higher Education to join REPs and become certified fitness professionals in the UK. This route can be achieved by an Accreditation of Prior Learning, APL, through an approved Test Centre.

Our test centre welcomes applicants from a wide variety of backgrounds:

• University graduates – particularly from the Sport and Science fields
• Qualified instructors and trainers from outside of the UK
• Experienced instructors and trainers that do not hold any formal qualifications

The process is very simple.

1. Contact us and one of our tutors will discuss your individual situation
2. Our tutor will carry out an initial assessment and you may be required to submit evidence of your past achievements and / or experience
3. After your initial assessment you will be supplied with a variety of learning resources and guidance on the assessments you will need to complete
4. You will then be able to choose your testing day. We have set testing days spread throughout the year
5. You can chose what a flexible time slot – you will be required to attend for 2 hours on your chosen testing day

Our fee to complete the APL process and attend a testing day includes;

• Initial assessment and confirmation of prior learning and / or achievement
• Awarding body registration and certification
• All resources and guidance material
• Assessment planning
• Support from an allocated tutor leading up to your testing day
• Actual assessments

You can apply to achieve either of the following qualifications;

• Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing – GYM £275 REPs Level 2
• Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructing - Gym - (includes Level 2) £500 REPs Level 3

Candidates may also attempt to achieve the full Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training qualification. If you wish to gain this award please contact us and we will carry out an initial assessment on your suitability.
